My Current Relationship With Spirituality

My relationship with my beliefs and spirituality are always evolving. My journey to priestess hood and my work as a healer did not appear overnight, and I am happy for that. Over the past four years I have learned the foundational truths at the beginning of my journey that have led to the deeper truths that I hold within me now.

I believe in an evolution of our souls, our choice to reincarnate at specific times with specific souls to further our development and greater capacity for love. These are friends, family members, teachers, and strangers on the street. Every interaction can be (and is) a deeper reflection on where you’re at, and where you can grow from. I believe that we agree to key events in our lives to help with this evolution; tragic and euphoric, earth shattering and mundane, that will add up to changing perspectives on how we view the world.

I also believe that there are energetic signatures and archetypal energy that translate through cultures and geographic locations and I am dedicated to one of those figures -- the Goddess of love, Aphrodite. She wears many different names, but she comes to me in her Greek aspect because of the deep connection and love I have for the culture I call my own. I make offerings to Her as a dedicated follower, and to further learn from Her magic. How pleasure is laced with pain, how anger can lead to arousal, how love can be a gateway to war. Passion is a category of emotions, and she yields them all through the intricate web of human experience.
