Rituals Honoring the Divine Feminine
In a world that’s designed by and for masculine, it’s hard to find and make moments to be feminine. It’s difficult to relax into a state of being and flow - states where the feminine is prominent - when the world around us is designed for the masculine doing and leading. To clarify, you do not need to have a female body to house a feminine soul or a male body to have a masculine soul. As I spoke about it previously, we are all a mosaic of feminine and masculine and never 100% one way or the other. As someone who is not only within a feminine body, but someone who has a feminine soul, it’s especially hard and I take steps to ensure that I am still connected to my nature.
The road to feeling active in my divine feminine power was not easy, and it continues to be a choice each day. I work in a traditionally masculine space (aka corporate, high-tech, innovative silicon valley), so it can be an easier choice to just… acclimate to those around me. These are some of the tools that I use either daily or multiple times a week to amplify the feminine energy around me.
Making moments for creativity : When I connect with my creativity it’s a dual benefit, as it helps relieve stress and to have a physical expression of my feminine creative energy. The feminine is a creatrix and crucible for new life, and when you tap into that energy it’s a moment of recentering and grounding. Most of my offerings have some form of creativity in them because it’s a hack to get back into the feminine, creative flow. Some of the more common methods I use are bullet journaling, journalling, drawing and painting… but creativity can be very expansive.
Spending time with Women : when women gather and speak about their experiences together, it brings the level of feminine consciousness higher on the planet. I’ve seen women become lighter in their burdens after sitting together over coffee, in a women’s circle and most impactfully on retreat. There’s a saying that those around us are a mirror of ourselves reflected back. When women gather, we heal each other's wounds through compassion for each other, and receiving that same energy from the women around you.
Moving your body : when living in sedentary lifestyles, it’s a necessity to move your body but I’ve noticed that a lot of the movements people are inclined towards are very regimented exercises. The types of exercise and movement I would recommend are uncoordinated and fluid. Hiking, yoga, and dance are interactive types of moving your body that allow for either nature or your imagination to influence your end result. I build in dance to my evening routine as a way of processing my day on a physical level, not just the emotional and mental level of processing that happens in my journal. Dancing helps me release the stuck muscles from the day as well as emotions that may have gotten trapped in my fascia.
Intuition led self-love: self-love is a pathway to self-acceptance and eventually happiness. When we love and care for ourselves then we make space in ourselves to receive miracles as well as signal to God/ Universe / Spirit / Goddess (use your preferred terminology) that we have made a vibrational shift. When you connect your intuition (a feminine super power) to self love then you can have a greater sense of your needs being fulfilled. Self-love and self-care also looks vastly different from person to person, day to day, and moment to moment. Currently as I write this, I am oscillating between eating chocolate and listening to some of my favorite podcasts… but this evening it could mean having a hot bath or weeding my garden or playing with my cats. Intuition lets you choose your own adventure and have it fill any of the areas where you have a stronger need.
I hope this provides you with some inspiration on how to embrace and bring in some feminine supportive moments into your daily life. Life and existence on the planet can feel very polarizing on the planet, but it’s important for everyone to bring both feminine and masculine into your daily life. There doesn’t need to be a division or divorce of the different aspects of yourself in order to be “more effective” in your existence. By finding the different practices that work best for you, you can bring an increase in confidence, mental endurance and *shockingly* increased productivity. Isn’t that ironic?
